Our clients purchased part of a field behind their house to extend the garden so that it could wrap around the house. Until that point the house had sat against an old field boundary.
Our brief was to create an exciting garden for all the family to use. The key driver was a glass box tradition space that encouraged access to the garden from the sitting room. The garden is filled with a snaking boulder wall with stones weighing as much as 3 tons each. Deep sweeping herbaceous borders and new tree planting have helped to create a feeling of permanence.
